Our Medical Director and volunteers provide primary care to adults with basic needs such as diabetes management, high blood pressure, COPD and asthma. Additionally, we have sick appointments for our enrolled patients and highly encourage them to secure one of these appointments before utilizing the emergency department. In a typical month, there are approximately 10-12 days of medical clinics and two evening clinics.
Our dental clinic provides examinations, x-rays, extractions, fillings and deep cleanings for enrolled patients. Again, our staff works to provide emergency appointments for our patients experiencing severe tooth/gum pain and swelling. In a typical month, the clinic provides 8-10 days and four evenings for dental visits and 4-6 days of dental hygiene services. Our staff and volunteers are active in the community serving at Missions of Mercy (MOM) events around the state, as well as hosting the local Salisbury MOM event.
The Clinic has a full service pharmacy with a limited service permit. We do not dispense narcotics. We employ a licensed pharmacist that holds an advanced certification as a Pharmacy Provider (CPP). Weekly, she sees patients under the supervision of our medical director to discuss medications, diet, lifestyle. The Clinic accesses free medications on behalf of our patients through various pharmaceutical companies utilizing the MARP (medication assistance review program) system.
